Top Playgrounds in Pico-Robertson

Pico-Robertson is a great place for families because there are a number of options for playgrounds in the area. Whether you have an infant or an older child, here are places you can take them to have fun in the sun.

Roxbury Park

Roxbury Park is in Beverly Hills, and it contains two playgrounds as well as ample outdoor space for physical activities. The two playgrounds are for younger and older kids, and feature baby swings, children’s swings, slides, climbing apparatuses, a large sand box, and more. There are also picnic tables and spaces available to rent for children’s birthday parties and gatherings with family and friends. Paid parking surrounds the park and is easy to access.

La Cienega Park

La Cienega Park has two children’s playground with baby swings as well as outdoor fitness facilities for parents. There are benches if you want to eat a quick bite with the family and walking paths to take a nice stroll. Note: Parking is very limited, and there are parking restrictions in the nearby neighborhood.

Cheviot Hills Playground

Located right next to Rancho Park, Cheviot Hills Playground has a structure for younger and older children, baby swings, and a sandbox. It’s right next to picnic benches, a basketball park, a community pool that’s open in the summer, and ample grass to run around. Parking is free and located in a lot just steps from the playground. If it’s full, street parking is available.

Irving Schachter Park

Irving Schachter Park is a park geared towards smaller children and located in Beverlywood. It’s completely fenced in and only has baby swings and a structure for ages 2-5. Parents can sit on benches while children slide and play with the interactive features of this playground, like an electronic piano and a board that makes animal noises.

Robertson Recreation Center

Robertson Recreation Center, which is known for its basketball courts, also has two playground structures for kids (and no swings). Both areas are fenced in for safety, as the playground is rite on Robertson Boulevard. Parking is available in the nearby neighborhood – just check the street cleaning signs.

Reynier Park

Located in the Reynier Park neighborhood off of Robertson Boulevard, this neighborhood park has large trees for shade, a nicely-sized grassy area, two verandas for gatherings, children’s swings, and one play structure.
